Thursday, June 27, 2002Well I don't know about me being one but I know I'd love to eat one now...ok who am I kidding with the whole eat one thing...nobody? I thought as much. So anyway if I was a food to be consumed by somebody who's just looking for comfort I'd be an... ![]() What Snack Food are YOU? Especially when there's more work than we can handle and we're down a tester. Why God why, what did I do wrong now?? Ok so I don't practise my faith religiously but you're not going to hold that against a girl are you? posted by Rusty on 11:36 Monday, June 24, 2002Well I just found out about the happy prospect of going camping in Cape Clear this weekend, it's been at least 5 or 6 years since I went camping so it should be an "adventure" or maybe my enthusiasm is a result of the lashings of red wine in my dinner. Funnily enough the reason for this excursion is Sadhbh's birthday and I first met Sadhbh during my last camping excursions to Schull. The circle in now complete... In other strangeness I'm sitting here watching a tape of Saturday's SmackDown and wondering why the hell some chick is wearing The Hurricane's mask up under her tiny skirt. Is it just me and the alcohol or has the WWE (don't know about anyone else but I still haven't gotten used to this) gone even more nuts recently. Still at least I can once more yell "Finally..." and "Rockyyyy" insanely at my TV again on a Saturday night :) posted by Rusty on 19:46 Friday, June 21, 2002Well having gone to the trouble of adding the comments function to my site I have now finally gotten around to logging on at home to check if anybody found anything I wrote worthy of their time. Turns out I have 2 friends, yeah me it's better than I'd hoped :) It also appears we have a bit of a poetry competition going between the most published writer I know personally and God's son...Go guys and thanks for answering my burning question. posted by Rusty on 19:34 Tuesday, June 18, 2002I want to live in a yellow submarine; I've just decided it would be fun. Ok so maybe it's not that realistic a dream but that's what comes of having a song from your youth stuck in your head, which keeps happening to me lately. Still I guess that's what mind numbing work will do to you. To break the monotony I decided to do a search on go old google and I found this it looks kind of pretty but I don't think it does much besides through out cheesy Zen type phrases. posted by Rusty on 15:46 Friday, June 14, 2002Where do all the tea spoons go??? Happy Birthday Mark posted by Rusty on 11:29 Thursday, June 06, 2002Abstinence Went to 40 Days and 40 Nights yesterday. Staring Josh Hartnett and Shannyn Sossamon (or the Angelina Jolie look-a-like as I like to refer to her). Not the worst movie I've ever seen, cute would probably be a good word to describe it. For anyone who knows nothing about the movie Matt (Josh) decides to give up sex in true Lenten style for 40 days and 40 nights. But of course, as is inevitable, during his vow of celibacy he meets Erica (Shannyn) and chaos endues as he tries to stay true to his vow and not f*&k things up with her. You're typical Rom Com storyline. Unless you *really* want to go to the movies and there's nothing else on (like I did) I'd suggest waiting for this one on video. A night in with lots of drink could probably do it a world of good. Especially, as far as I'm concerned anyway, because the eye candy for the ladies is sadly lacking in this movie. If a completely low taxing movie is not what you had in mind for an enjoyable evening then you might prefer to rent out A Chinese Ghost Story. Tom gets the credit for picking this one out. I must admit while I do love Jet Li movie I'm not usually a huge fan of other Chinese movies but at 2am on a Saturday morning with loads of cocktails in me and having just sat through one of the biggest piles of rubbish in my life. DO NOT rent out Sugar and Spice you may be thinking cheerleaders great but believe me it's not. Just watch Bring It On Again. But anyway getting back to the point...Chinese Ghost Story is a pretty good movie, I may even rent the sequels. It kept me entertained for a couple of hours and that's high praise as I'm normally snoring on the couch at that point. There's not a whole lot of Kung Fu in this movie but the love story is just that bit different from the norm. posted by Rusty on 14:33 |
